According to the CIA World Fact Book (October 2011), there are 196 "independent countries" but a total of 267 "world entities" thanks to territories like Guam, Puerto Rico, etc. Hmmmm. So, depending on your point of view, we've seen either 33% or 42% of world. Ironically, the world itself is considered one of the "world entities", as are each of the five oceans...!
